Festival Off and Back
The Festival Off and Back is devoted primarily to the type-setter Jacques Offenbach, created in 2006 on the commune of Venelles with a production of Mr Choufleuri Restera at his place.
In 2007 the festival was also established on the site of Bridge-Royal (commune of Mallemort) with a very noticed production of Périchole with Marie-angel Todorovitch and Marc Barrard.
This last made it possible the commune of Alleys to pay a homage supported to the actor Fernand Charpin since Marc Barrard was to take again in September 2007, to the sides of Roberto Alagna, the role of Panisse.
Intended to contribute to the radiation of Provence, the festival Off and Back wants to be also a vector of professional insertion for young artists and young people resulting from our vocational schools. For this purpose the team of the festival started a research program of young artists with the assistance of the Conservatoire higher national of music and dance of Paris, the greatest agencies in concerts, but while also collaborating with local, rich fabric of young talents and in particular with the academy of music of Aix-en-Provence which was largely put at the honor in 2007.
Beyond the simple musical discovery, the objective is also to organize a meeting, to accelerate the setting in the presence of all these partners to contribute to the notoriety of our beautiful Country of Aix, its schools, its musicians.
