Ferry Ier de Vaudémont

Ier Ferry of Lorraine , born in 1368, dead the October 25th 1415 with the Battle of Azincourt, was lord of Rumigny, Martigny, Aubenton and Boves, and by marriage count de Vaudémont and lord de Joinville of 1392 with 1415. It was wire of Jean Ier, duke of Lorraine, and Sophie of Wurtemberg. It is sometimes numbered Ferry V by continuity with the dukes of Lorraine.
There were initially negociations for a marriage with Bonne of Bar, girl of Robert Ier, count de Bar as of 1379, but which failed in 1392. It Maria in 1393 with Marguerite de Joinville (1354 † 1418), girl of Henri, lord de Joinville and count de Vaudémont, and of Marie of Luxembourg. They had:
- Antoine (1400 † 1458), count de Vaudémont and lord de Joinville
- Isabelle (1397 † 1456), married in 1412 in Philippe Ier count de Nassau († 1429)
- Marguerite, married to Thiébaud, lord of Blamont († 1431)
In 1400, it fights with his/her brother Charles II, duke of Lorraine, against the bishop of Toul, then takes with him the party of the Bourguignons vis-a-vis Orleans.
It carries out a pilgrimage in Holy Land from April at November 1409, then becomes adviser of Charles VI, king de France on his return.
