Ferrari 412 T2

The Ferrari 412 T2 is a single-seater of Formule 1 of the stable Italy committed Ferrari during the season 1995, in the championship of the world of Formule 1, with the hands of Jean Alesi and Gerhard Berger.

History

In a bad master key for several seasons, the emblematic stable of F1 has tackled the season 1995 with the ambition to play the spoilsports. Its tandem of pilots, taken back for the third consecutive year, is a sure value, even if the French Jean Alesi never yet asserted himself in the queen category. The 412 T2 derives from the 412 T1B and 412 T1 of the former season, conceived by John Barnard. It is propelled by a Ferrari block and roadway of tires Goodyear.

At the beginning of the season, the struck single-seaters of the pulled up horse seem in great form, even if they are not on the level of the Williams or the Benetton of Michael Schumacher: in five races they glanent six podiums (two second places for Alesi and four third for Berger). Arrive then Grand Prix of Canada remained in memories, where Schumacher dominates race until problem which offers the victory to Jean Alesi, who asserts himself the day of his thirty-one years, over a car struck of number 27 the circuit Gilles Villeneuve!

The remainder of the season will be more difficult, the 412 T2 collecting only four additional podiums, and a pole position, signed by Gerhard Berger at the time of the Grand Prix of Belgium. Handicapped by an imperfect reliability (14 abandonments!), Ferrari do not deserve better than the third place with the Championship manufacturers, before the great revival of Scuderia, with the arrival of Jean Todt and Michael Schumacher followed by the victorious engineering team at Benetton for the season 1996.
