Fernandel

Fernandel , to the civilian Fernand Joseph Desired Contandin , is a Chanteur and Acteur French born with Marseilles the May 8th 1903, deceased with Paris the February 26th 1971 at the 67 years age.

It is his/her mother-in-law, Mrs. Manse, who invented her Pseudonyme; while speaking about her son-in-law, she said: “Here is the Fernand of it! ”.

Biography

Born from a father, Denis, employee and singer Sunday with the Café concert ( Sined ), and of a mother actress amateur, Fernandel has two brothers (Auguste Marcel Sined its elder 6 years with which it will be a time Fernand Sined , and Francis Fransined younger than him 11 years) as well as a sister. But any exchange in the Years 1950, thanks to Julien Duvivier and with the series of the Gift Camillo, drawn from the work of Giovanni Guareschi, where a priest and a communist mayor deliver a fight of influence in a small village in Italy: the Small world of Gift Camillo (1951), the Return of Gift Camillo (1953). Then, with other realizers, the Great brawl of Gift Camillo (1955), Gift Camillo Monseigneur (1961), Gift Camillo in Russia (1965) and finally Gift Camillo and the protestors , film which it starts to make in 1970 but that it will not be able to complete, victim of the disease (cyst cancer patients) which was going to carry it.

Among other great cinematographic successes of Fernandel, let us note also Ali Baba and the forty robbers (1954), film of Jacques Becker and especially the Cow and the Prisoner , film of Henri Verneuil turned in 1959.

It founded with Jean Gabin the production company Gafer in 1963.

Fernandel also gained a great success with the recordings of the texts of the Lettres of my mill of Alphonse Daudet like the Goat of Mr Seguin , the Three Masses low , the Secrecy of Master Cornille or the sub-prefect with the fields .
