Fernand Gautret

Fernand (Jean, Edme) Gautret , it January 5th 1862 with Saint-Genis-with-Saintonge (Charente-Maritime), dead the 1912 with Paris, is a Politician and senior official French.

Having made its studies with Holy Pons and , he is professor with the college of the Roche-sur-Yon (the Vendée).

He is elected mayor of the Sables of Olonne (the Vendée) in May 1896, and General adviser of the Canton of Sand-in Olonne.

In 1898, it is elected appointed of the Vendée. Being presented in the form of an independent Republican, it beats the outgoing candidate, Georges Batiot, itself republican, but on the left more committed than him.

It is not represented in 1902, preferring to continue a career in the colonial administration. It is successively named resident-mayor of Tarrane, Haïphong and Hanoï. Governor in 1906, it manages the territory of Kwang-Tchéou-Wan, conceded by the China in France.

In 1908, it leaves the Indo-China for the Guadeloupe, where it remains until in 1910.
