Fernand Charpin , known as Charpin , is a French actor born on June 1st 1887 with Marseilles and deceased the November 6th 1944 with Paris.

Biography

Fernand Charpin meets Raimu and Marcel Pagnol in 1928. Pagnol is in the search of its Panisse for its new part, Marius . Played in 1929, this one will be an immediate success. In 1931, Pagnol decides to adapt its Marseilles Trilogie to the cinema. Charpin thus composes the role of Panisse for the screen in Marius (Korda, 1931), Fanny (Allégret, 1932) and César (Pagnol, 1936).

He also plays in Chotard and company , taken again part by Renoir in 1932, Schpountz (Pagnol, 1937), the Beautiful Team (Duvivier, 1936), Pépé Moko (Duvivier, 1936), the Woman of the baker (Pagnol, 1938), and Flle of the shaft sinker (Pagnol, 1940).
