Fernand Blum

Fernand Edouard Corneille Blum (born with Brussels the November 9th 1885 and deceased with Knokke the April 13rd 1965) was a liberal politician and burgomaster.

Fernand Blum was laid off in political sciences, was civil servant and teaching.

He became communal adviser, alderman (of 1923 with 1938) and burgomaster of Schaerbeek (of 1938 with 1940 and of 1947 with 1963).

He was at the same time parliamentary liberal. Fernand Blum was made prisoner by the occupant of 1916 with 1918 and was joined clandestinity during the Second world war in 1940.

A school bears its name, it acts of the royal Athénée Fernand Blum, located Avenue of Roodebeek at Schaerbeek.
