Demography
Places and monuments
Castle of Fern-on-Beaver : it was entirely rebuilt at the end of the XV° century, only the large square keep being preserved. The first work gives again its military aspect to him (ditches, drain-holes, covered way, etc) but, thereafter, appears refinements more Renaissance such as a gallery under arcade, of the roof slates and mullioned windows, with the complex slopes. During all the XIX° century, a spinning mill is installed in the vault. The castle is repurchased and restored by the State in the years 1930.
