William (Fergie) Fergus McCormick , born the April 24th 1939 in Ashburton (New Zealand), is a former player of Rugby to XV which played with the team of New Zealand. It evolved/moved at the station of back (1,70  m for 83  kg).

Career

He played 222 matches for the province of Canterbury, of 1958 with 1975.

He disputed its first test match with the team of New Zealand the September 18th 1965 against the South Africa. Its last test match was against the British Lions, the June 26th 1971.

In 310 high level matches, it marked 2065 points, a record at the time. It was the first AlBlack which marked more than 2000 points.
