Fergal mac Máele Dúin (death the December 11th 722) king of Ailech and laughed Ard Érenn of 710 with 722
Fergal was the son of Máel Dúin (death in 681) king d' Ailech of Cenél nÉogain, family resulting from the Ui Neill of North and Cacht girl of Cellach mac Máel Cobo (death in 658) of Cenél Conaill old laughed Ard Érenn.
The first mention of Fergal in Annals goes back to 707 year when it takes the control of Cenél nÉogain. Three years after it obtains the title if coveted laughed Ard Érenn in 710 with died of Congal Cennmagar of Cenél Conaill and it becomes most powerful of the kings Uí Neill of North.

He then undertakes an aggressive policy against Leinster. In 719 it demolishes Murchad mac Brain Uí Dúnlainge (death in 727) Northern king de Leinster. In 721 the men of Leinster supported by Cathal mac Finguine king de Cashel plunder Mide.
