Ferdrupt

Ferdrupt is a common French, located in the department of the the Vosges and the area Lorraine.

Its inhabitants is called Ferdruppéens (or Ferdrupéens).

Geography

Ferdrupt is a small commune of the high valley of the the Moselle, enclosed between Ramonchamp and Rupt. The agglomeration comprises the village itself and two hamlets: Remanvillers and Xoarupt. The adret and especially ubac are the field of forests where the coniferous trees dominate.

History

The common one was created in 1832, of sections of the Rupt-on-Moselle and Ramonchamp.

The old ones of Ferdrupt reported the presence of wild men in the wood of Ferdrupt. Very anchored in the local folklore, this forever confirmed legend. Nevertheless, of the manhole covers decorated with an illustration of a man of wood were especially manufactured by Pont-à-Mousson!
