Ferdinand IV of Castille

Ferdinand IV of Castille , known as Deferred the , was born with Seville the December 6th 1285, it dies in Jaen, the September 7th 1312. He is the son of Sanche IV of Castille and Maria Alfonso de Molina. Buried first of all in the royal vault of the Cathedral of Cordoue, its body will be finally transferred in the collegiate church from San Hipolito to Cordoue.

Biography

It reigns the April 25th 1295 with died of his father first of all under the supervision of his mother until in 1301, in 1296 his uncle Jean de Castille proclaims king de Castille under the name of Jean Ier but will quickly be relegated in the Leon and constrained to abdicate in its favor in 1301, date on which it reigns personally under auspices lenient especially thanks to the action of his regent mother who will have known in this period turbid to maintain the legitimacy of his son while being pressed on the people when that was necessary against part of the nobility being pressed on the close Christian kingdoms.

Its death

One tells that having made throw top of a rock two gentlemen, the brothers Carvajal, shown assassination, those, before being precipitated, deferred it to appear before God in 30 days, and that indeed he died at the end of this term; from which its nickname would come.
