Ferdinand Hoefer
Ferdinand Hoefer , of its complete name Jean Chrétien Ferdinand Hoefer , was a doctor French of German origin , born the April 21st 1811 in Döschnitz (Thuringe), died in May 1878 with Brunoy (the Essonne). It is mainly known today for its work in Histoire of sciences.
It is naturalized French the March 28th 1848.

He also wrote the 46e volume of the Nouvelle general biography since the times most moved back until our days, of 1853 with 1866. He seems well to have directed the totality of this collective work, published by Firmin-Didot and competitor of the " Biography universelle" of Michaud and Roman of Amat, to which a lawsuit opposed.
