Ferdinand Heine

Ferdinand Heine (1809 - 1894) is a German collector .
Its collection of birds included/understood 12.000 specimens coming from the whole world and was the most important private collection of its time. It also had 15.000 books and 27.000 specimens of natural history. It is currently preserved at the Heineanum natural history museum of the town of Halberstadt (since 1907).
