Ferdinand Gilson
Ferdinand Gilson was the eighth French hairy last, born the October 20th 1898 with Champigny-sur-Marne and died in the night of the 25 to the February 26th 2006 in the hospital of Gien.
Biography
It is the last Poilu Loiret. It is built-in 1917 like soldier in an artillery regiment and takes part in the campaigns against the Germany until the armistice. Mechanic after the war, it will engage in the secret Armée (Intelligence Service) under the pseudonym with black mouth at the time of the Second world war. He lived his last years of life surrounded by his family and affirmed that he was never bored. He is the hairy one having spoken more about the war.He also wanted to become aware of the reality of the war to the generations which did not know it, informant on this subject: It is necessary that those which do not know that peace includes/understands the chance that they have to live in a free country.
It is deceased at the 107 years age in the night of Saturday, February 25, 2006 to Sunday February 26th 2006 at the hospital of Gien.
