Femke Halsema
Femke Halsema is a political woman Dutchwoman born the April 25th 1966 with Haarlem. She is currently president of the party ecologist Groenlinks.
Studies
After having started a training of professor and studies of History in 1985, Femke Halsema studies the Social right with Utrecht and ends up specializing in the Criminologie.
Professional path
After having worked as an assistant for the Dutch ministry of the interior matters, of 1991 with 1993, like professor with the faculty of Sociology of Utrecht starting from 1992, it is made known within the Partij van of Arbeid. Femke Halsema works of 1993 with 1997 for the foundation Wiardi-Beckman, the research institute of PvdA, for which she writes the book Ontspoord. Opstellen over criminaliteit & rechtshandhaving ( outlines on the crimality and justice ). In 1996, it becomes writer of the newspaper of Groenlinks: of Helling ( the slope ) and also works for the politico-cultural center De Balie with Amsterdam where it will take part in 1997 in the project Res Publica , study relating to the role of the Constitution Dutchwoman in the company. It is during this same time that she sees herself proposing a station of Groenlinks candidate for the elections of 1998.
Policy
Femke Halsema is known for its position in favor of request asylums and his opposition to the law on the immigration of Job Cohen. After the elections of 2002, it becomes vice-president then finally president de Groenlinks. She is chief candidate of the party at the time of the legislative Élections Dutchwomen of 2006.
