The female Tournoi of the six nations is a competition of Rugby to XV female between the female national teams of Rugby of six European countries:

History

This tournament was created in 1996 , it was called then the International Home Championship and opposed the female teams of Rugby of England, of Scotland, Ireland and the Wales.

In 1999 , the team of France joined the competition. The tournament becomes the Five Nations tournament (female edition). In 2000, the team of Spain replaces the team of Ireland.

In 2002 , the team of Ireland reinstates the Tournament. The tournament becomes the Tournoi of the six nations (female edition).

In 2007 the Italian team replaces the team of Spain. The female tournament is then composed of the same teams as the male edition . The female tournament also follows the same calendar as that of the men.
