Felix the Cat is a character of American cartoon created by Otto Messmer or Pat Sullivan. Still today, it is difficult to know which is the true creator: Stalemate Sullivan deceased, its assistant Otto Messmer asserted the character. Feline Madnesses (1919) was the first film of the cat. The graphic and poetic influence of the animated version of Krazy Kat is manifest there. The series had an international success throughout the Années 1920, but with the arrival of talking films American and creation about Mickey Mouse, Felix lost his popularity quickly. Felix reappeared later on television American in the Années 1960 under the direction of Joe Oriolo. Oriolo added new characters and new elements, such as the magic bag of Felix the cat (which could take any form and transform themselves into various accessories), or the enemies of Felix: the Professor, anonymous insane scientist, generally accompanied by its accomplice Rocky Rough, and the dangerous extraterrestrial one named " the fort in thème".

In 1995, Felix the Cat returns in a new series of animation scenarized by Bob Koch: The Twisted Adventures off Felix the Cat . This series joined again a little with the episodes of the Twenties by its oneiric poetry, and maintained the presence of the magic bag.
