Nathalie Genevieve Marie Kosciusko-Morizet (born the May 14th 1973 with Paris) is a political woman French, member of the Union for a popular movement, Secretary of State charged with the Ecologie near the Minister of state, Minister for ecology, the development and installation durable of the Gouvernement Francois Fillon (2) since the June 19th 2007.

Substitute for Pierre-Andre Wiltzer at the time of the legislative elections of June 2002, it became appointed, member of the group UMP, the July 19th 2002, after the nomination of Pierre-Andre Wiltzer with the ministry for the Coopération and the Francophonie in the Gouvernement Jean-Pierre Raffarin (2). In June 2007, it is re-elected appointed 4 {{E}} district of the Essonne (cantons of Longjumeau, Limours, Montlhéry, Villebon-sur-Yvette).

Family origins and studies

Nathalie Kosciusko-Morizet is resulting from an old French political family. , it is the girl of the mayor of Sevres, François Kosciusko-Morizet and of Benedicte Treuille, teaching. She is also the grand-daughter of Jacques Kosciusko-Morizet, Résistant gaullist of the first hour and ambassador of France, and the back-small-girl of André Morizet, Senator - mayor communist then SFIO of Boulogne-Billancourt.
In addition, it is the sister of Pierre Kosciusko-Morizet, P. - D.G of Priceminister.

Its schooling occurs to the Lycée from Sevres, with the Lycée Daniélou of Rueil-Malmaison then to the Louis-the-Large Lycée with Paris.
Polytechnicienne (promotion 1992), it chose the Biologie like speciality and is also Engineer of the National school of the agricultural engineering, water and the forests (ENGREF), and member of the body of the engineers of the agricultural engineering, water and the forests. It is also titular of a MBA of the Collège of the Engineers (promotion 1997).

Professional path

Political career

Near to the President of the Republic Jacques Chirac, it is placed substitute for Pierre-Andre Wiltzer which must be named member of the government after the victory of the right-hand side: it is thus ensured to be appointed and becomes the benjamine National Assembly. She was the rapporteur of the Charte of the environment and the mission of information on the greenhouse effect. She was thus distinguished locally in defense from the environment (air harmful effects, projects of infrastructures) and from employment (Alcatel, Thalès, Sanofi). Like member of Parliament, it was also characterized by its activism in favor of defense of the consumer, in particular in the fight against the abusive bank charges imposed by the banks.

Member of the Union for a popular movement (UMP), it is initially responsible for the environment to the direction of the studies then president of the parliamentary group health and environment as from 2002. Since 2003, it is national secretary of the ecology and since 2004, president of Consodurable association and administrator of the Charles-of-Gaulle Foundation.

Since the regional elections of March 2004, it is also regional adviser (UMP), for the area Île-de-France.

At the time of the legislative elections of June 2007, it obtains 46,97% of the voices to the first tower vis-a-vis 14 other candidates of which Olivier Thomas (25,04%) its socialist competitor for the second turn. In 2002, Pierre-Andre Wiltzer had obtained 44,09% with the first turn. With the second turn, she is elected appointed with 56,09% of the voices vis-a-vis the Socialist Olivier Thomas (43,91%)

The June 19th 2007, it is named Secretary of State near Jean-Louis Borloo, the French Minister for Ecology, is responsible for Ecology in the second Fillon government. It is its substitute Guy Malherbe, mayor of Épinay-sur-Orge which thus becomes the deputy of the 4 {{E}} district of the Essonne

Married since the July 19th 2003 with Jean-Pierre Philippe, currently directing of the strategy and the communication at EADS, it has a son. It resides at Longpont-on-Barley (Canton of Montlhéry), and had established its parliamentary permanence in its residence.
