Felix Louis Herminier
Felix Louis Herminier , born the May 18th 1779 with Paris and dead the October 25th 1833 with St. Bartholomew's Day Massacre in South Carolina, is a pharmacist and a Naturaliste French.
He makes studies of Chimie and Natural history in Paris before leaving for the Guadeloupe in 1798. He studies the fauna and the flora of the island until 1829, date on which he turns over in France.
He publishes several work on the birds, in particular on the role and the function of the Sternum ( Recherches on the apparatus sternal of the birds, considered under the double report/ratio of the osteology and the myology, followed by a test on the distribution of this vertebrate class , 1827). He also publishes several memories in the Annales of the national Muséum of natural history of Paris.
Among his ten children, it is necessary to quote Ferdinand Joseph Herminier (1802-1866), Médecin and Naturaliste him too.
