Felix-Julien-Jean Bigot of Preameneu (March 26th 1747 with Rennes - July 31st 1825 with Paris) is one of the four lawyers authors of the Civil code French under the direction of Cambacérès and on request for Napoleon, with the whole beginning of the 19th century.
It is lawyer Parlement of Paris before the Révolution, then appointed in 1791 with the legislative Assemblée. It there professes moderate opinions and moves away from the businesses after the Commune to reappear only under the Consulat. Named in 1802 president of the section of legislation to the Council of State, it contributes actively, with Jean Etienne Marie Portalis and François Denis Tronchet, with the drafting of the new code. It is named member of the French Academy in 1803. In 1807, it replaces Jean Etienne Marie Portalis like minister of religion, function which it preserves until the Restauration. It is made count the April 24th 1808.
