Felix Baudy was shot for the example on April 20th, 1915 with Flirey, following the collective refusal of his company to go back to the attack of the peak of Death-Pond.

April 19th, 1915, an attack was to take place with Death-Pond, in order to earlier remove a trench still occupied by the Germans in the center of a first conquered line a few days with the loss of 600 men. The troops of attack had been drawn with the fate and the chance had indicated one of the companies strongly abused April 3rd, 4th and 5th at the time of the engagements on the road of Thiaucourt.

With the signal of the attack this company of 250 men refuses to leave to the attack and to leave the trench: “it is not our turn to attack” say. There a few moments before, among the fifteen men who had just left the trench twelve had been killed or wounded and remained, under the eyes of their companions.

The Delétoile general orders that the 250 soldiers pass in martial Cour for Délit of cowardice in order to be carried out. After the intervention of other officers, five men are finally designated and appear, for a parody of lawsuit. One of them is discharged.
