Feldjäger

The unit of the Feldjäger is the military unit of police force of the armed German. The term Feldjäger (literally hunter of countryside ) comes historically from the middle of the 17th century.

The currency of this unit is Suum Cuique ( With each one it his ), derived from the quotation of Cicéron: " (...) C fortitudo in periculisque laboribus cernatur, (...), iustitia in suo cuic tribuendo. ".

The body of the Feldjäger has authority to fulfill its missions on every units of the German army (the Bundeswehr ), as well on units of the Army, of the Navy, like the common air force or services like the medical department. It operates under the direct authority of the command of the services common to Cologne.

Organization

The Feldjäger are organized in about thirty offices distributed on all the territory thus making it possible each soldier German to request their intervention where necessary.
