Fehu
Fehu is the first rune Futhark and also the name of the first family of eight rune also called Fraujaz or Freyr . This family is made up of Fehu, Ūruz, Þurisaz, Ansuz, Reiðō, Kaunaz, Gäbon and Wunjō. This rune is closely related to the Greek Phi. Fehu results in " bétail" and symbolizes the cattle, the goods, the properties and the material richness. It is related to Audhumbla, the proto-cow mentioned in the myth of creation. In the old days, they employed the cattle like measures richness, thus Fehu symbolizes also the money. This rune represents the horns of an ox. It is the beginning of the succession of the runes, but it is also the beginning of anything else, including the beginning of creation. Just like Audhumbla was the beginning, of the creation of the man and the world in which we live. During antiquity and later, the signal to begin the religious ceremonies was the sound of the bronze parts symbolizing the horns of Audhumbla. After these ceremonies, they dismantled the parts of bronze and buried them, for symbolically using the remainders of Auðhumbla to create the world in which we live.
