Federation of the Greens

I Made green (in Italian, Greens) is a Political party Italy N (Fédération), a party ecologist and pacifist.
This federation is member of the Parti Green European.
The federation obtained two appointed European (on 78) in June 2004: Monica Frassoni, Co-president of the parliamentary group of the Greens and Sepp Kusstatscher (originating in the the Tyrol of the South, old of the Südtiroler Volkspartei) and Verdi exceeded by doing this 802.502 votes (2,5%).
Its current leader is Alfonso Pecoraro Scanio - since 2001 (re-elected in 2004), minister since 2006.
He is member of the electoral alliance of Olivier (but not of the federation of the same name). He makes follow his name of the mention Unione (in reference to the Union for Olivier).
This federation results from fusion of the Verdi themselves and the Verdi Arcobaleno (Green Rainbow) which separately presented to the European elections 1989 by obtaining a total of 5 deputies (3+2). In December 1990, with Castrocaro Terme, fusion in a single federation ( Federazione dei Verdi ) is supplemented after Federazione delle Liste Made green and I Verdi Arcobaleno had previously joined the same group with the the European Parliament.
Chronology
Created in 1986 with Final delle Ligurian under the name of Federazione List Made green (federation of the green lists) with for symbol the sun which laughs (borrowed Danish antinuclear movement) and already used at the time of the regional elections of 1985.
In 1987, the Italian Greens arise for the 1st time to a national election and obtain 2,6% of the voices, that is to say 13 deputies and 1 senator. In 1989, it is the first election with the the European Parliament and three deputies are then elected (3,8%): Alexander Langer, Gianfranco Amendola and Enrico Falqui - while Aglietta Adelaide and Virginio Bettini are elected appointed European with the symbol Verdi Arcobaleno per Europa (with 2,4%).
In 1991, Notizie Made green , weekly magazine, then semi-monthly, becomes the official body of the federation.
In 1992, the Greens obtain 2,8% (16 deputies and 4 senators). In 1994, whereas the system proportional is not in force any more, the Greens arise in the left alliance of Progressisti, obtaining 11 deputies and 7 senators (2,7% of the voices).
Always in 1994, still 3 deputies with the the European Parliament (3,2% - Carlo Ripa di Meana, Aglietta Adelaide and Alexander Langer, with its death replaced by Gianni Tamino).
In 1996, in the coalition of Olivier, are elected 14 deputies and 14 senators: with proportional, they obtained 2,5% - it is the best result ever obtained by the Sun which laughs. In May of the same year, first participation in the government with a minister and four Secretaries of State.
In 1999, a light electoral reverse, with only two deputies with the the European Parliament: 1,8% and only Giorgio Celli and the mountaineer Reinhold Messner are elected.
2000: from January 21st to 23rd is held with Chianciano Terme, the constituent Assembly, to which adherent more than 10.000 members. Grazia Francescato is elected president of the Federation. The executive council includes/understands: Alfonso Pecoraro Scanio, Paolo Cento, Nicola Adamo, Fiorello Cortiana, Stefano Boco, Luciano Berarducci, Marco Lion.
The same year, the Greens obtain 2,4% of the voices in spite of the retreat of the left.
Currently the federation counts 17.000 members and 600 elected officials. In addition to one president of province (that of Naples), the Greens direct 25 town halls.
The May 13rd 2001, the elected officials with the Italian Parlement are combined with the Socialistes Italian democrats (SDI) under the name of Girasole (sunflower) (between brackets, parliamentary commission) - the Green elected officials are:

Political elections of 2006
With the political elections of 2006, Verdi obtain 2,1% of the voices to the Camera dei deputati and 16 deputies, like 6 senators elected in alliance with the Parti the Italian Communists and the Consumers' association.
