Federal department of the Economy (Swiss)

In Swiss, the federal department of the Economy (DFE) is one of the seven departments Federal council. The head of the department, Doris Leuthard succeeds the 2006 Joseph Deiss.

General secretary (SG-DFE) is an organization of logistics and management ensuring the connection between the federal adviser and the various offices managed by the department.

In German, the name of the department is Eidgenössisches Volkswirtschaftsdepartement . In Italian, Dipartimento federal dell' Economia .

As opposed to what one could think, the “Civil service” is not attached to the Department of Defense.
