Presentation

The federal Assemblée is the name given to the Swiss Parliament when the two rooms which compose it (the national council and the council of the States) sit jointly. The two rooms meet four times per year in general.

The federal Parliament is responsible for the election of the Federal council, of the Chancellier of the Confederation, and the judges to the Federal court. She also names a Général in the event of war or of serious crisis.

Anecdote

The central table représensant the Lac of the Four-Cantons comprises a strange detail: its author had added a fish in relation to the festival of the Poisson of April. This fish is left side, against the wall of the gray rock on a small overhang in lower part of the top ( visible on this image ).
