Synopsis

The police chief Letellier (Jean-Paul Belmondo) saw his career broken by the Marcucci gangster, at the conclusion of a steering which has turned out badly. Transferred in a dull police station, it continues to seek the trace of its enemy. At the time when Letellier learns finally the return from the hold-up man to Paris, a mysterious killer terrorizes the capital. He is made call Minos, by reference to the Divine comedy , presents himself to his victims then with the public opinion like a " justicier" and strangles unmarried women with the free sexual life. Letellier must then choose between appeasing his revenge or making his trade of police officer and to neutralize a frightening serial killer…
