Fatiha

The Fatiha (Arab: rear RTL الفاتحة) is the Sourate of opening of the Coran, the crowned book of the Moslem S. It is made up of 7 verses or ayat. Sometimes called Umm Al-Kitâb (“Mother of the Book”), it is recited during each prayer, in which case, the term amin (amen) is added in end. She is also recited at the time of the ceremony of the Moslem marriage. The tradition wants that it is the complete first sourate which was inspired with Mahomet.

The tradition forces the Moslems to by heart know at least a sourate. For much, it is this short sourate. She in general is learned as of childhood in the Médersa S or is taught simply by the parents and revêt an particular importance.

The first verse of this sourate (Bi ismi Al Ar-Raḥmâni Ar-Raḥîmi) is used by the Moslems on multiple occasions of the everyday life, in particular before undertaking an action, like eating for example. It can be reduced to this occasion with “Bismillâh”, the contracted shape of “Bi ʾismi (A) llâh”. It is the invocation of God, of the name of God. This first verse is in opening of all the others sourates of Coran, except 9th, the disavowal . He is repeated twice in the 27e, the ants .

Its importance is comparable with the Our Father Christian S and with the Shema Israel of the Juif S.

Fatiha is also a Arab first name female.
