Fastlane

Fastlane is a American Televised series of 22 46 minutes episodes, created by McG and John McNamara and diffused between the September 18th 2002 and the April 25th 2003 on the network FOX. In France, the series was diffused starting from the June 29th 2003 on Canal+.

Synopsis

Andre Hayes and Van Ray are all two police inspectors. At the time of a mission, Hayes is made kill.

Lieutenant Wilhelmina “Billie” Chambers, which is also the foreman, sends Van Ray in an special unit. He will have to infiltrate the criminal networks most dangerous of Los Angeles and will have like fellow-member Deaq Hayes, the brother of Andre.

They were all the two selected ones for their surging past which confers to them a great knowledge of the mediums of gangsters. They still have relations there.

He work in the “confectionery” (the candy-shop) where their license plates are kept under trunk. They have at their disposal of very large means, top-of-the-range cars, motor bike, diamonds, money. The watchword of the confectionery is: “All that one seizes, one keeps it. All that one keeps, one uses it”.

Comments

The series lasted only one season because it did not have sufficient audience compared to the price which the episodes (it cost was a series with large budget: 2,6 $/épisode million).

The realizers did a large work on the image and the colors in this series. The image is extremely coloured (saturated even sometimes a little with colors) and profits from a very particular light.
