FastCGI
FastCGI is a technology allowing the communication between a Serveur HTTP and a independent Logiciel.
Traditionally, the applications Web used the Common Gateway Interface (cgi) which carries out a new program at each request. The programming is sometimes difficult because the program is systematically carried out in a virgin environment and it is possibly necessary to find information of the preceding requests.
With FastCGI, only one execution is used to treat all the requests. According to the cases, the programming can be much simpler and the faster treatment of the requests.
