Farrokh-Rou Parsa

Farrokh-Rou Parsa (March 21st 1922, Qom - April 1980) was a Iranian Femme, which was the first woman minister (of education) between 1968 and 1976.

It is the girl of Fakhr-Afaq Parsa, which was editor as a chief of Jahan-i Zanan , a female magazine published in Iran in the years 1920.

Farrokh-Rou is one of the first graduate ones of the teacher training school in Iran. In 1942, it is employed as a professor of biology in the college " Nourbakhsh". It Marie in 1944 with an officer of the armed . In addition to its work of professor, she will visit also prisoners in their places of detention.

She becomes principal college " Valli u'llah Nasr" for one year, then in 1957 principal college " is named; Nourbakhsh" to its entry with the Majles (Parliament) in 1962.

It is appointed Minister for education in 1964 by the Prime Minister Amir Abbas Hoveyda. It keeps the post of minister until the resignation of Hoveyda in 1976.

It will be carried out after a nonequitable lawsuit in front of a revolutionary '' komiteh '' in April 1980.
