Farming community

A Municipality Rural E, often shortened RM, is a form of municipality in the Canadian provinces of Manitoba and Saskatchewan, perhaps better comparable with the Comté S, Cantons, or with the black Banlieue S with the the Western United States.

History

The municipal ordinance of 1883 was issued by the Territory-of-North-West to provide services to a rural sector and to provide some means of governing municipal. Saskatchewan and Alberta became provinces in 1905. Alberta had the numerical zones of improvement which became the municipal zones.
