Farmhouse-holy-Puelles

Farmhouse-Holy-Puelles is a common French, located in the department of the Aude and the area Languedoc-Roussillon. Its inhabitants is called Massogiens.

Geography

Farmhouse-Holy-Puelles the is a commune of the Lauragais of 2.763 ha located at 6 km in the west of Castelnaudary. Its territory which extends between the Trunk road 113 in north and the Ruisseau from the Ganguise in the south divides between the hills of the Trap and the western point of the wind depression of Pexiora. This Plaine is prolonged towards north across the collar of Naurouze by the valley of the Hers-Death. This narrow passage between the Black Mountain and the hills of the Trap was borrowed since the Antiquité by the " Via Aquitania " who connected Narbonne to Bordeaux. Today this plain of a few km of width is crossed by main road 113 in north, the channel of the South, the way of Railroad of Toulouse to Narbonne and the French Autoroute A61 with the almost parallel layouts. This plain is traversed by small Tréboul Affluent of the Fresquel which is thrown in the Aude. The Trap is a zone of hills resulting from the erosion of the Pyrenees made of molasses and marnes where benches of limestone used for construction and conglomerates are intercalated. On the commune the highest point is with 328m. This zone of hills extends towards the east towards the valleys from the Hers-Sharp and the Ariège. TheHolyones is located on the Watershed between Atlantique and the Mediterranean. Tréboul in the plain collects water towards the Aude whereas Ganguise drains water of the Trap towards the the Garonne. Top of the village, one can admire the line of plate to the foot of which curves the Drain of food of the Canal of the South and the Col of Naurouze.
