Farbauti

For the Saturn moon, to see Farbauti (the moon).

---- Farbauti Farbauti or Fárbauti in old man-norrois ( that which strikes dangerously) is a giant of the Scandinavian Mythologie. He is the father of Loki.

The authenticity of this genealogy is attested because it is mentioned by two poems scaldic 10th century: the Haustlong of Thjódólf of Hvínir (5) and the Húsdrápa of Ulf Uggason (2). It is taken again by Snorri Sturluson which, in its Edda ( Gylfaginning , 32; Skaldskaparmal , 16,22), specifies that it is about a giant.
