Faraj Sarkohi

Faraj Sarkohi فرجسرکوهی Iran IEN born in 1947 with Shiraz is a journalist.

Already published before finishing its studies of sociology and literature Persian to Teheran, its writings disturb and will lead it in 1971 to receive a 15 years of prison sorrow, which will be curtailed in 1979 by the Iranian Révolution (passage of the mode of the Shah to that of the Islamic Republic).

He however joined quickly the opposition, and become in 1985 editor association of the cultural review Adineh until in 1996, date on which he is stopped first once. He will write after his release which it at summer tortured until he states more not to write (declaration published in European newspapers). He will again be stopped (and tortured he seems) before being released thanks to international pressures.

He exiles himself then with Frankfurt in Germany, and receives the Plume of gold of freedom in 1998 and declares with the handing-over of the price: During 32 years I lived feather, and during 32 years I aspired to freedom plume
