Fantomex

Fantomex is a Super-héros pertaining to the universe of Marvel Comics. It was created by Grant Morrison and Igor Kordey in New X-Men #128 in 2002.

According to the authors, Fantomex is inspired by the comics Italian Diabolik and Fantomas.

Origin

Charlie Cluster-7 (also known under the name of Jean-Philippe) is weapon XIII of the project Arme More, which works on experiments of hybrids cyborgs. It was born and grew in the World, a hermetic environment which has was used as a basis of data for the Sentinelles.

Fantomex is made pass for French.

During its first appearance, Fantomex, described like a professional robber, seeks refuge with the Parisian X-Corporation. It is wounded and Professor Xavier does not arrive at reading his thoughts (because of its cybernetic mask).

Capacities

  • the nervous system of Fantomex is related to that of its vessel techno-organics E.U.A. both functions in symbiosis and have a personal telepathy. Fantomex can take the control of E.U.A. while concentrating (but he does not see whereas in black and white). E.U.A. is an intelligent and armed vessel, being able to change form.

  • Fantomex can mentally create very realistic illusions.

  • Fantomex is a marksman, fantastic discretion, and superb combatant with the body-with-body. It is always equipped with guns.
  • Its physical competences are remarkable on the level of simple human.
