Fanny Cerrito is a Danse uses Italy born Francesca Cerrito with Naples the May 11th 1817 and died with Paris the May 6th 1909.

Formed at the school of the Teatro San Carlo of Naples, it improves near Jules Perrot, Carlo Blasis and Arthur Saint-Leon which it marries in 1845.

Noticed as of its beginnings in 1832, it continues its career with Vienna, Milan, London, Paris, Saint-Pétersbourg and Moscow. It leaves the scene in 1857.

In Paris, she knows the dedication to the sides of her husband, in particular in the Girl of marble , the Violin of the devil and Pâquerette . She often collaborates in the choreography of the ballets which she interprets, like Vivandière , and composed some ballets of which most famous is Gemma (1854), on a booklet of Théophile Gautier.

She belongs to the big family of the romantic ballerinas with, inter alia, Marie Taglioni, Fanny Elssler, Carlotta Grisi and Emma Livry, and excels particularly in the dances of character.
