Family of Estouteville
The family of Estouteville (pronounce /de.tut. 'cheap) is a former family of the Noblesse Norman.
Their weapons are: Burelé of money and mouths of ten parts to the sand lion armed, lampassé and crowned of gold, stitching on the whole.
Its first known member would have been a companion of Rollon.
- Robert Ier d' Estouteville accompanied William the Conqueror in England and accepted from him several grounds.
- the cardinal Guillaume d' Estouteville (death in 1483), archbishop of Rouen, was a large builder with Gaillon and Rouen.
- Louis d' Estouteville (1400-1464), lord of Valmont, captain of the Mount-Saint-Michel, was governor of Normandy.
