Family Panon Desbassayns de Richemont

The family Panon Desbassayns de Richemont , initially named Panon Desbassayns, is an old French family. She was anoblie during the Restauration with the title of baron in 1815 then of Count in 1827.

This family is originating in Toulon, and was one of richest and most powerful of the island Bourbon, where it had been fixed as of the end of the 17th century. She formed several branches, which with the collective nickname of of Bassyns or Desbassayns, joined those of Montbrun, Richemont or the Gate… She is in addition allied to the families Dalon, of Dampierre, Dodun de Keroman, of Keating, the Bridge, of Saint-Didier, of Villèle… On the other hand, one should not confuse this family with that of Lemercier de Richemont, Créole she too.

She gave two knights of Saint-Louis in 1775. Henri Paulin Panon is one of the first imminent members of the family Panon Desbassyns.   • Gertrude (1787-1878), which marries Jean Baptiste Louis Apollonie Séraphin Clear Joseph de Villèle;
  • Sophie (1788-1817), which marries Philippe Pajot.

After the death of Henri Paulin Panon
