Synopsis

This series tells the daily newspaper of the pupils of a New Yorkean school, the School off Performing Arts (School of the performing arts). It finds its origin in film of the same name ( Fame ), carried out by Alan Parker in 1980, and evokes the American dream: young people, at the origins most various but all talented, integrate this school in order to become dancers, singers, musicians, actors… The great success of the series is certainly due to the fact that each episode is punctuated musical numbers and choreographies.

Comments

French diffusion

The first season was diffused in France and in the United States almost simultaneously. Oddly, in spite of its hexagonal success, TF1 diffused the two following seasons later only three years, as from 1985, which involved some changes of voice in doubling. The three last seasons were diffused in France even more tardily, on the cabled chain Série Club, at the end of the the Nineties, from where a complete change of the casting of the voices of doubling. Since, France 3, France 4 and Jimmy repeated the entirety of the episodes several times.
