False-braie

Definition

Rempart or Pre-rampart, it false-braie draws a quay level ou/et a retaining wall surrounding a strengthened camp.

Indicate in the art of the Pre-Modern forticication a rampart which is between the ditch and the principal rampart of a Forteresse.
