Fallout 2

Fallout 2 is a roleplay on PC developed by Black Isle Studios in 1998, which makes following the first opus, Fallout , left one year earlier.

Synopsis

What follows reveals the history of Fallout. After having completed its search with the service of the Shelter 13, the Living Shelter, the hero of Fallout , was driven out of its hearth by the leader, who saw in him a potential rival. Given up of all, he wandered in north, in the desert, before founding a village, Arroyo. Protected by its canyons from the outside world, the village lived during long years in peace. However, the heat wave prevails and the Famine started to watch for the small village following the dryness of 2041. A tribal legend claims that the Abri 13, from which the inhabitants go down from Stream, had in its center a Jardin of Eden in Kit. This marvellous instrument would make it possible to create the life starting from the desert and to rebuild civilization…

History

Gameplay

Preserving the gameplay Fallout , the play gives a greater liberty of action to the player. The management of the karma was largely improved; it is from now on possible to finish the play by maltreating the widow and the orphan, unlike the first opus where total management of the karma (and not by zones as in Fallout 2) quickly inspired with the whole of the characters play a hostile attitude with respect to the hero, and thus impossibility for this one of finishing its search.

The liberty of action it was also re-examined with the rise: all seems possible or almost: to marry (with a man or a woman, that one is man or woman), prostituer its soft and tender wife, to play in a film pornographic, to become hired killer, slave, champion of boxing, to take drugs (with particularly varied Drogue S, managing the Accoutumance of the player: Buffout, Jet, Mentats…), to enter a sect….

Many variations can be also visible according to whether the played character is a man or a woman. A woman will be able for example prostituer, to use her charms to have reductions with the merchants, etc, a man will be able to make a " contribution" to increase the genetic diversity of a city recluse on itself, to ensure a descent a gangster family…

This glaucous universe and resolutely adult made of Fallout 2 a play reserved for an informed public.
