Falles
The Falles (original name, in Valencian; Castilian Fallas in ), of the Latin FÁCULAS (Torche S) is a popular Fête whose apogee is between the 12 and the March 19th, day of the holy Joseph, owner of the carpenters. The festivities proceed in the streets and places of Valence (Spain) and in more than sixty other cities of the Province of Valence.
These final demonstrations are preceded by an intense activity of preparation which are as many occasions to have fun the festival:

At the end of February: The “cridà”, it “will fallera major” declares the beginning of the official festivities.

the Every day, of 1st with the March 19th, takes place on the place of the town hall, with 14:00, the “mascletà”, pyrotechnical sound spectacle.

the night of March 15th, the “plantà”: one draws up gigantic monuments out of paperboard, supported by structures of wood being used to them as skeleton.

ALL THE CITY TAKES PART
- Of the hundreds of works of art out of wood and painted paperboard appears in the streets to be burned the night of the March 19th, at the time of the “cremà”, in the middle of a flashover of Fireworks between Minuit and an hour of the morning.
