History

Beginnings

Faith No More was formed in 1982 starting from ashes of Faith No Man, a group founded and carried out by Mike " The Man" Morris. Roddy Bottum, Mike Bordin, and Bill Gould left Faith No Man and took the name " Faith No More" following the suggestion of a friend. After some frequent changes of Guitarist S, the members recruited Jim Martin. The group also frequently changed Chanteur S, and Courtney Love, which is a good friend of Roddy Bottum, sang with the group for one six months period. A recording of Courtney Love singing with Faith No More since remade surface.

Chuck Mosley full-time became the singer and appeared on their two first albums. A well-known song of the group at that time was " We Care has Lot" , a Satire of the prevalence of the caritative efforts of groups of Rock'n'roll like the Live Aid and " We Are the World ".

For this period, the members of the group had had the reputation to be in conflict the ones with the others. In an interview in 1987, Mosley declared that Jim Martin had struck it with a Bouteille, and the rumors spoke about physical confrontations between the members of the group. That was worth with the group an article in the British Journal Melody Maker , where their relations were compared with " hatred pathologique". Bordin, in particular, seemed to act as Scapegoat within the group, and was victim many jokes.
