Located in the province of the Penjab, Faisalabad is the third city of the Pakistan.
Initially developed like an agricultural market in 1892 (under the name of Lyallpur), this one became a major industrial center for the country.
The population of the city, which extends on 122 km ², is estimated at 2,66 million inhabitants with an annual demographic growth rate of 3,58%.
The city today is primarily dedicated to textile industry.
The plan of its center town takes again the drawing of the flag of the United Kingdom (Union Jack).
