Fafe
Fafe is a municipality (in Portuguese: concelho or município ) of the Portugal, located in the District of Braga and the Northern area.
Geography
Fafe is bordering:- in north, of Póvoa de Lanhoso and Vieira C Minho,
- in the east, of Cabeceiras de Basto and Celorico de Basto,
- in the south, of Felgueiras,
- in the west, of Guimarães.
The municipality is crossed by the Vizela, small affluent of the Ave.
History
Until 1840, the municipality bore the name of “Montelongo” or “Monte Longo”.
