Fafe

Fafe is a municipality (in Portuguese: concelho or município ) of the Portugal, located in the District of Braga and the Northern area.

Geography

Fafe is bordering:

in north, of Póvoa de Lanhoso and Vieira C Minho,
in the east, of Cabeceiras de Basto and Celorico de Basto,
in the south, of Felgueiras,
in the west, of Guimarães.

The municipality is crossed by the Vizela, small affluent of the Ave.

History

Until 1840, the municipality bore the name of “Montelongo” or “Monte Longo”.

This " cidade of Fafe" as like to say the Portuguese, is composed of a central place or are coffees, shops and a place where concerts and spectacles proceed regularly, including exposures. Dynamic small town around which residences and projects continue its expansion. One comes there to foot, in family, car, one walks there with joy.
