Faculty of Science of Tunis

The Faculty of Science of Tunis (FST), of its complete name mathematical, physical and natural Faculty of Science of Tunis , is a faculty located in the university campus of El Manar at Tunis (Tunisia). It depends on the Université on Tunis - El Manar.

History

The FST is founded in 1960 and settles in the old buildings of the Institute of the high studies in Tunis located on the street of Rome (downtown area).

In 1974, it is established on the hill of El Manar, beside the National school of engineers de Tunis, place of its current site. Before 1968, the main mission of the FST is to train professors of secondary education in Mathématiques, physical sciences and Natural science (Biologie and Géologie). Two dies of the third cycle go back to the end of the Années 1960 and relate to the Biologie marinades and the physics solid state.
