Factions of Crest off the Stars

The universe of Crest off the Stars is divided into five great political structures which are found in war at the end of the first series of novels. To face the human Empire of Abh, which controls half of humanity, the four other States gathered in the Organization of the Treaty of Novasicilia , more known under the name of " Coalition of the quatre". This Coalition of the four becomes Triple Alliance following the refusal of one of the members of the Organization of the Treaty of Novasicilia (the Federation of Hania) to enter in war against the human Empire of Abh. The case of the Martin planet, discovered because of the opening of new a gate, leaves think that it could exist another planets isolated because of their absence from bond with the Univers plan. The members of the Coalition of the four are introduced below more important at least important.

Human Union

The human Union is the main adversary of the human Empire of Abh. It carries out an active propaganda explaining why the Abh do not have anything human, that they are artificial beings, organic machines, simple parts of an inhuman machine dedicated to reduce humanity in slavery, whereas the Abh (at best) should serve humanity. The epilog of the second episode of Crest off the Stars watch a video of propaganda, entitled the true face of the parents of the stars , presenting the Abh like destructors without pity; the use of Latin natures suggests that it was carried out by the human Union. The Federation of Hania

The Federation of Hania gathers planets culturally rather close. It is the only member of the Organization of the Treaty of Novasicilia not to declare the war with the human Empire of Abh. It remains neutral in the conflict. In Banner off the Stars I , his ambassador is always in station with Lacmhacarh whereas the impératice Lamagh had revoked the privileges of the ambassadors of the Member States of the Organization of the Treaty of Novasicilia after the destruction of the Gothlauth and the occupation of the marquisat of Sfagnaumh. The novel explains that the human Empire of Abh did not declare the war to him because it took part in none military operations, in particular the attack against the imperial capital.
