The facial angle is a measurement which makes it possible to evaluate the prognathism of a cranium, i.e. the more or less advanced projection of the jaws and face.

It is the acute angle formed by the two lines (COp) and (MN), with:

  • O not low of the ocular orbit;
  • P not highest of the auditive hole;
  • the M not most prominent of the bone higher Maxillaire enters the cells of the two central upper incisors;
  • NR meets joining of the nasal bones and Frontal.
